Censorship (or Reefer Madness)

My secondary billing company recently looked over Girl Spanks Girl to see if there were any policy violations. Now keep in mind this is not something I asked for or was told was going to happen. And I don’t even know what their “policies” are. But they did the review and initially came up with over 20 “violations” of their policies.
Most of the violations were regarding family relations and spankings. I wrote back to them and asked how a mother/daughter spanking scene could be considered (in their words) “incest.” I asked them if a mother actually spanked her daughter as a means of discipline in real life, would this in fact be considered “incest?”
They thought about it and reduced their “violations” to three scenes. I argued about one of the three, and they saw my point, narrowing the offending scenes to two. One, that included a title “Kissing Cousins” was a very mild scene that did in fact show two models (who were not related in real life) kissing. Since there was no mention of them being related in the actual video, it was simple enough to remove the word “Cousins” from the text describing the scene. Sorry if anyone read the old title, actually believed that these two were cousins that kissed each other, and got offended by this.

The final scene they wanted changed proved to be the most difficult. There were marijuana references and actually two of the models in this scene, Governess Rules Day 1, were actually seen on camera pretending to smoke weed. So I removed any “pot” references in the text and cut out the shots of them smoking and thought I would be good to go. Not so fast. If you crane your neck in the edited version, you can see on a small table in the corner of some of the shots in the video, the tiny bong they used for the fake pot smoking scene.
I have seen many shows and movies on TV in which pot smoking is depicted. There was an entire series called WEEDS for Pete’s sake. Where are these secondary billing companies for spanking sites when it comes to public access to viewing marijuana? Maybe they should find new jobs that let them turn their attentions to a bigger network of risks – such as television and the rest of the world wide web (that is presently out of their jurisdiction).

Sorry about the ridiculousness…but now I can’t help but wonder how I get one of these jobs scanning spanking sites for “violations” 😉

Maybe I’m just biased because I commissioned and wrote this clip, but I think this is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. Not only is Western culture inundated with weed references (in addition to Weeds, I’d add movies like Half-Baked and Saving Grace, not to mention about 2/3 of all Rap music/videos), isn’t weed actually legal in parts of the US now (checks Google: yep, Colorado is opening the first legal retailer on Jan. 1)? And here these guys are acting like Cheech and Chong never happened—maybe someone needs to remind them what year the rest of us are living in.
All I can say is: if they hated this, they’re really going to flip their shit when they see the Breaking Bad spanking parody I’m cooking up for Kymberly and Veronica even as we speak…

I agree with everything you say Parker and I believe all sound and rational people would. Thankfully there is Clips4sale as an outlet. And my primary billing company has never been insane like this.

I agree. Censorship on an over 18 fetish site is pretty freakin stupid considering that on any given day there are literally dozens of references or depictions of pot smoking on main stream television. That is some petty BS.
Coincidentally, there is an amusing pot reference in the latest Halfway House Girls scene as well. It seems that pot and the implications of being caught with pot, lends itself well to spanking scenes!

Yes Ken there are many pot references in spanking scenes – it is a popular theme – as well as mainstream entertainment. I suspect that some pathetic little power hungry dweeb gets to say what flies or doesn’t fly at this secondary billing company and he either thinks that someone watching a spanking scene will be corrupted by seeing a pot bong in a scene, or he is a jerk who wants to wield what little power he has and this is his opportunity. The Halfway house pot/spanking scene will be safe on http://www.hotgirlsspanked.com where it will be out of the control of this lunatic.

Tim yes the show WEEDS was all about pot – growing and using – and while it was on a pay channel, Girl Spanks Girl is a pay site that one must be over 18 to join – so I think my members can handle a little pot reference. It makes no sense really why they want to sensor this scene.

I got done very early on about uncle/niece references and am astounded at how many sites in America depict Mother/daughter spankings and such… I’ve let a few creep back in as there is nothing sexual about them… or in one case, the girls just call the guy “uncle” but he is not related… it’s just so fucking random… nice to know you can defend it, I usually just change the wording and to hell with it if I get approached, haven’t done for 3 years so maybe they have better things to do.
